Opening of a new ÏDKIDS logistics centre

The new warehouse in Dagneux will create 50 new jobs.

Okaïdi is conquering new markets every day and growing steadily in France and abroad. To support this growth, which results in about a hundred Okaïdi stores opening every year, ÏDKIDS decided to establish an 18,000 sqm ÏDKIDS LOGISTICS platform in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Located near the eastern edge of France, Dagneux is a strategic distribution point for Okaïdi stores in southern France, Italy and Spain. In the immediate term this new logistics centre will also service Switzerland. New ÏDKIDS stores will receive their deliveries from this platform as well.

ÏDKIDS LOGISTICS will begin operating in February 2018 and will create 40 new jobs by the end of 2018. By the end of 2020 the centre should have around 50 staff. It will help to support economic development in the region by prioritizing the recruitment of locals while embracing diversity. People with disabilities or who are part of a social inclusion programme will be considered favourably at the recruitment stage.

This new centre will help to ensure better inventory management for Okaïdi stores in southern Europe, shorter delivery lead times and a reduced carbon footprint by saving fuel on the last few kilometres of the journey which are thought to be the most energy-intensive.

As part of our progressive approach the building is designed to be energy-efficient through measures such as insulation, a smart electrical system and light wells.
