This year, fifty Jacadi employees with nine different skill sets chose to help out at four charities supported by the ÏDKIDS foundation. The result? More than 500 happy children!
Any ÏDKIDS community employee who wants to be involved in our charitable work can be. There are many different opportunities available, including volunteering at a charity for a day, so staff can actively help children for themselves.
This act of solidarity is another way of supporting and understanding our We Act for Kids initiative:
- By creating social ties between the foundation’s partner charities and ÏDKIDS community employees.
- By being part of a selfless experience helping vulnerable children in conjunction with our brands.

To help children with troubled families to flourish and build their future, the charity France Parrainages set up a community sponsorship scheme. Volunteers regularly welcome these children into their own families. They build a special relationship which is vital to their sense of accomplishment, providing both learning and emotional support. The charity is located in Paris but has a number of satellite offices, including one in Lille supporting more than 200 children and teenagers (aged 2 to 18) in vulnerable situations.
Our employees organized a mask creation workshop following by a group photo shoot with the children.
Sport dans la Ville builds and runs sports centres in the heart of disadvantaged neighbourhoods. It is helping 6,000 young people aged 5 to 25 to integrate socially and professionally, playing an active role in their progression and personal development. Promoting professional integration through sport, it is the leading organization of its kind in France. One of its objectives is to build stadiums in priority neighbourhoods to help children integrate through sport and learn to live together in disadvantaged suburbs in Lyon, Paris and Lille. It receives regular support from the ÏDKIDS community through the ÏDKIDS foundation and the brand Okaïdi.
Our employees headed out to Sarcelles for some urban dance lessons followed by a snack and a chat about careers in fashion design. A great way for the kids to discover their calling!
Jacadi has been supporting the charity Amitié Partage through its Love Maille initiative for three years. This innovative return-to-work programme helps unemployed women get back into work by teaching them to knit under the guidance of an instructor. This helps to restore their confidence in the future and puts them on the path to vocational training or a job.
On one of the volunteer days, ten employees hosted twelve people from the charity. On the agenda was an Opéra tour and pompom workshops at Jacadi’s Opéra head office!
This charity based in Cergy runs a community grocery shop and gives (mostly food) aid to people in financial difficulty, vulnerable situations or on the fringes of society. It does this in a number of welcoming, inclusive spaces where food is made available, social and professional integration workshops are held and furniture, clothing, books, etc. are collected, recycled and resold for a modest sum.
A fun afternoon fête was held with face painting for the children, colouring in, a tombola, games, a lucky dip for gifts and more besides.
