From 17 to 19 October ÏDKIDS will be at the World Forum 2017

ÏDKIDS is a longstanding partner of this event, which gives firms the opportunity to suggest and discuss concrete solutions to promote and develop a responsible economy.

The 11th World Forum will take place on 17, 18 and 19 October 2017 in Lille on the topic of a responsible revolution. On the agenda:

  • The challenge posed by technology shocks.
  • The challenge of acquiring the right knowledge and skills.
  • The geostrategic challenge posed by a new world order.
  • The challenge posed by new entrepreneurial models.
  • The challenge of acting for the common good.

One hundred speakers from 26 different countries and around 6,000 participants are expected at the event.

It will be held in two main locations: the chamber of commerce and the Théâtre du Nord.

Visitors can choose from a variety of different session types:

  • Plenary sessions.
  • Conferences.
  • Collaborative workshops.
  • Themed lunches.
  • Networking evenings.

ÏDKIDS was keen to share its innovative ideas on acting for the common good.

On 17 October, ÏDKIDS will run a brainstorming workshop on the concept of labels. Discussion topics will include label selection criteria, recommended monitoring methods and forms of dialogue, and lessons learned.

On 18 October Isabelle Anton, CSR manager, and Alexandra Tampleu, legal manager, will present the group’s care management policy at a speed meeting on corporate best practice for creating a Responsible Revolution. Two initiatives will be discussed:

  • Putting a social protection floor in place in 2018 for employees from branches in 15 countries.
  • Setting up a care management training programme based on role play and improvisation.

On 19 October a number of international speakers will visit the group’s head office in Roubaix. On the agenda:

  • Social Business in Bangladesh with Bibi Russell, UNESCO Honorary Ambassador and fashion designer. Since 1995 she has set up social businesses in the textile industry for women in Bangladesh. She works to support skilled artisans who use traditional techniques, safeguard Bangladesh’s cultural heritage and create potential sources of income.
  • Transitioning to a Responsible Organization with Svénia Busson. After touring the world to learn about alternative and innovative methods of education, she is now part of the Mangrove charity which brings together young entrepreneurs who are passionate about technology and want to reinvent the corporate world by focusing on collaboration and fulfilment.

These three days of dialogue and international meetings will put innovation at the heart of economic, social and environmental progress to benefit tomorrow’s world.
