GOOD NEWS: L’Orage à la maison (The storm at home), a new story musical by JoyVox that explores the emotions children experience during conflicts with their parents in a sensitive way.

JoyVox released the playlist from its new album on 3 April: L’Orage à la maison.
This story musical explores the emotions children experience when arguing with their parents in a sensitive way. It’s the perfect album for the times as we’re all in the same boat of confinement.

The very poetic L’Orage à la maison tells the story of Arthur, whose stomach is knotted in anger… He sails off on a walnut shell to encounter his emotions. Whimsical marine characters help him learn to control them.

“We wanted this story to be a tool to prevent psychological risks for children when they withdraw during parental conflict,” explains Domitille Duforest, Creative Director for JoyVox.

It is a short but superb teaching tool to help children understand the conflictual situations they must sometimes face.

  • Story narrated by Mélanie Doutey
  • Texte: Catherine Verlaguet
  • Illustrations: Mathilde Bédouet
  • With the voices of: Cédric Carlier, Cassiopée Mayance, Igit and Marc Demais.
