On Sunday 1 October the film was previewed at the Forum des Images in Paris. Let’s take a sneak peek!
The role of Bubble is to be a voice for positive parenting, inspiring parents and children through several media: a free, forward-thinking magazine, a website, a newsletter, events and books.
Every season Bubble Mag promotes a selection of high-quality films to stimulate children’s curiosity and openness to the world. For the past year the selection has been made in partnership with Benshi, the online cinema guide for children. Their shared goal is to find original, thought-provoking and well-made films that generate empathy from the audience and stimulate family discussion.
This collaboration has led to various cinematic partnerships including the above preview jointly organized by Bubble and Les Films du Préau. Directed by Jakob Schuh and Jan Lachauer (The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom), the film is an adaptation of the Roald Dahl book that reinvents the fairytale with humour and intelligence.
Of the 500 people in the audience, 300 were children. Bookmark workshops, a photo booth and book signings with the directors all added to the fun. The event was a resounding success!
