Love Maille: a hand-knitted collection helping women in the community

This autumn marks the third anniversary of the initiative set up by the ÏDKIDS foundation, Amitié Partage and Phildar to help women create hand-knitted babywear collections as a first step back to employment. Love Maille is back!

Jacadi created eight timeless clothing patterns for babies aged 3-6 months, Phildar donated its best-quality wool and 10 women trained and supported by the charity Amitié Partage knitted the collection.

The aim of the Love Maille initiative is to help these women feel confident about the future and enter vocational training or employment. Since its launch almost 50 women have either found work or enrolled in a vocational training course.

From early October until March 2018 this 300-piece capsule collection will be on sale on the Jacadi website. The collection includes an embroidered sweater, bootees, a hat and a miniature sweater for Martin the teddy bear who has become the brand’s emblem.

All of the profits made by Jacadi will be donated to the charity.

This community partnership is one of the ways Jacadi encourages its customers to help mums and their children.
