Once a year the ÏDKIDS foundation gives every employee the opportunity to take a day off to volunteer at a charity so they can actively help children for themselves. As part of this initiative, four of our employees took part in a day of solidarity organized by the charity Le Père Noël est-il un Rocker ? in March 2018.
Together with EDHEC Business School student volunteers, our employees organized an afternoon of fun, creative music workshops for 35 children at the Centre Social de l’Hommelet in Roubaix.
This rich musical discovery programme included an introduction to percussion and rhythm, making guitars and maracas, writing songs and learning a few guitar chords! It was a great opportunity for children to discover and share their talents by opening up, expressing themselves and maybe even discovering a passion for music.
“As the foundation’s ambassador, it’s important for me to be involved in its work. Taking part in community events like this helps me fully appreciate the relevance of our We Act For Kids ethos: ‘Working to make a better world for growing children’. The musical afternoon with the charity was a great success and we were rewarded by the children’s happy smiles! Our foundation’s activities are also a great opportunity to spend quality time with colleagues outside of the work environment.”
“I really enjoyed taking part in this day of solidarity. We gave an afternoon of our time but the children made it more than worthwhile! A day like this is what the ÏDKIDS community values are all about: Respect, Sharing and Progress. It was a great opportunity to see these values in action.”
