Wallets are conquering Europe!

Okaïdi Wallets are coming to Italian and Belgium phones and we’re not stopping there! 

What is a Wallet for?

  • It replaces the interoperable loyalty card in the Wallet app on the customer’s phone (but can also act as a wallet for your payment cards, boarding cards, cinema tickets, student cards, etc.).
  • The customer can check the number of points they have and any benefits available.
  • It is quicker and easier to identify the customer at the till. 
  • New targeted advertising channel: push notifications (for private sales, sales, new collections, etc.)

How did you advertise this new functionality? 

We launched our own email advertising with Italian loyalty card members on Wednesday 9th December. After 24 hours we had an opening rate of 26% and 5.2% of our contacted customers had added the Okaïdi Wallet to their phone.

Only a few days after the Italy launch it was Belgium’s turn to get the Wallet pass, making shopping easier for our French- and Dutch-speaking customers!

The 1st stats are again promising with nearly 5% of targeted customers installing the pass within 24 hours.

THESE RESULTS ARE VERY ENCOURAGING AND SHOW THE INTEREST OUR CUSTOMERS HAVE FOR THIS TYPE OF TECHNOLOGY.

We shall continue to track the KPIs over the next few days! Beyond the real customer benefits with, among other things, an optimised till experience, it is also an opportunity for the Okaïdi, Oxybul and IDKIDS brands to improve customer contact with push notifications as well as emails and text messages.

What comes next?

In 2021, Okaïdi France will also get the Wallet (in addition to ÏDKIDS France which already has the Wallet) as part of a new loyalty programme.
