For 11 years now, Okaïdi has been a partner of the Surfrider Foundation, a charity that helps protect our oceans and coastlines. For the second consecutive summer, Okaïdi is organising a Beach Tour in France and Europe, to continue raising awareness and collect litter. For World Oceans Day on 8 June we take a look back at Okaïdi x Surfrider
Okaïdi x Surfrider is:
- 11 years of partnership
- 4,003 beach collections
- 36 tons of litter collected from beaches
- 41,808 children made aware of the problem
It’s also a specific collection with engaged messages and responsible materials to support the Surfrider Foundation, with one euro donated for each product purchased.
Since 2016, Okaïdi has been offering recyclable paper bags from sustainably managed forests and a reusable, sturdy shopping bag to reduce plastic pollution. 100% of profits from their sale are donated to Surfrider Foundation to support their actions.
We’re off again this year for the Beach Tour, which starts in Biarritz on 5 July! Our Okaïdi teams will also be stopping off in Barcelona (Spain), Les Sables-d’Olonne, Dinard, Ostend (Belgium) and Lausanne (Switzerland).
