On Tuesday 19 November, \u00cfDKIDS is jointly organizing the first ever Etats-G\u00e9n\u00e9raux de l\u2019Education event on the theme of educating children aged 0 to 6 and hosting a public discussion evening on the same subject. J\u00e9r\u00f4me Obry, MD of the Rigolo Comme La Vie cr\u00e8che network, talks about how his staff are involved in this event<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

J\u00e9r\u00f4me, why is Rigolo\nComme La Vie involved with Etats-G\u00e9n\u00e9raux de l\u2019Education? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The best investment a country can make is\nin the education of its children, particularly in early learning, as the\nformative years are key to promoting personal fulfilment. This lies at the\nheart of our philosophy at Rigolo Comme La Vie: fostering social progress to\nactively help young children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But beyond this, our collective\nresponsibility\u2014our mission\u2014is also to optimize this investment in education by\nregularly reviewing current arrangements to make sure they meet the needs and\nexpectations of families and children now and in the future. Because the\nchallenge of education is a shifting one.  That’s why this collaborative\nEtats-G\u00e9n\u00e9raux de l\u2019Education event appealed to us: because it\u2019s essential to\nbring together different yet complementary mindsets (even opposing ones) to\nserve the greater interest of children and families, which represent our\ncountry’s future!  What we find interesting is how positive and\nconstructive this approach is. The aim is to work together to offer changes to\nadapt what already exists or innovate to find the best possible education\nsystem for the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s essential to bring together different mindsets to serve the greater interest of children\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

How might this impact on parents? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Above and beyond the love parents have for\ntheir children, they are becoming increasingly aware that they need advice,\ntips, tools and resources to help them raise their children to the best of\ntheir ability, especially by building bridges with professionals. Reviewing\nexisting arrangements also makes for an interesting challenge:  do they\nstill help parents educate their children as well as they used to? We believe\nthat it’s important to consider this fully. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And what does this initiative offer\nRigolo Comme La Vie staff? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s obviously an excellent opportunity for\nthem to capitalize on their experience and expertise by taking part in the\nexpert session to jointly come up with new ideas. It\u2019s also a great chance for\nthem to embrace different perspectives on their way of working. And it’s an\nopportunity for them to gain some concrete tools. As an example, when speaking\nto parents our professionals sometimes pick up on issues that could be harmful\nto the child. But they don’t always know the best way to tell the parents. What\nis best practice in terms of communicating information? I think it is vitally\nimportant to explore this area in more depth, so they are better equipped in\nthese situations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
