Driven for the past 20 years by its commitment to make a better world for growing children, this year \u00cfDKIDS and its brands celebrate the adoption by the UN General Assembly of the Convention on the Rights of the Child<\/a> 30 years ago on 20 November 1989. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The convention’s 54 articles set out the\ncivil, economic, social and cultural rights of children. To date it is the most\nswiftly-adopted international human rights text in history. On 2 September 1990\nit was ratified by 20 states, thus coming into force as an international\ntreaty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This milestone has special significance for Oka\u00efdi<\/a> as the \u00cfDKIDS group’s founding and leading brand. Since its inception in 1996, Oka\u00efdi has striven to get children learning and growing through twelve values represented by twelve icons inspired by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its goal is for children to be\nself-motivated, happy and responsible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
