{"id":4823,"date":"2018-09-14T16:28:51","date_gmt":"2018-09-14T14:28:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/corporate-idkids-com.azurewebsites.net\/?p=4823"},"modified":"2018-11-23T17:44:17","modified_gmt":"2018-11-23T16:44:17","slug":"idkids-in-partnership-with-the-lets-innovate-for-education-springboard-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/en\/idkids-in-partnership-with-the-lets-innovate-for-education-springboard-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00cfDKIDS in partnership with the Let\u2019s Innovate for Education Springboard Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>On 25 November 2017 the \u00cfDKIDS foundation will offer a prize and a financial boost to the most innovative project centred on educating children about citizenship.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>The third Let&#8217;s Innovate for Education Springboard Awards<\/strong> were organized by the charity <a target=\"\" rel=\"\">Chemins d\u2019Enfances<\/a> with the <a target=\"\" rel=\"\">SEVE Foundation<\/a> in partnership with the French Education Ministry. The objective was to promote best practice in education through highlighting and supporting innovative initiatives aimed at helping children and teenagers live together and learn to be.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fifteen innovative, inspirational and change-provoking projects submitted by civil society groups, schools and educators made it to the next round. They were chosen from among 150 submissions by a selection committee comprising 30 \u00cfDKIDS employee volunteers<\/strong>. A panel of experts met with each of them and then selected three prizewinners who were each awarded 3,000 euros and specialist help with implementing their project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There were three main categories in 2017:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Media and Information Education prize<\/strong> for developing discernment and critical thinking about news in the media.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Citizenship and Solidarity Education prize<\/strong> for developing a sense of belonging, citizenship and solidarity to face up to future challenges.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Peace Education prize<\/strong> for developing a peaceful mindset towards oneself and others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The projects submitted were perfectly in tune with the \u00cfDKIDS commitment to work to make a better world for growing children. The \u00cfDKIDS foundation also wanted to award a special prize to a project that communicated the values of citizenship and openness to children in a particularly innovative way.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The prize-giving will take place on 25 November at the Domaine de Longchamp<\/strong>, a Parisian estate dedicated to humanism and coexistence and the headquarters of the GoodPlanet Foundation set up by Yann Arthus-Bertrand.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The event will be open to the public under the name \u201cGrowing up differently: new educational strategies for a changing world&#8221;.<\/strong> It will be a day for exploring new educational methods with parent-child workshops, meetings\/debates and predictions for the future. There will be plenty of opportunities for debate, dialogue, promoting best practice and trying out new things in a convivial atmosphere. Special guests will include <strong>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Lenoir<\/strong>, doctor and research fellow at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and co-founder of the SEVE Foundation, and <strong>Serge Tisseron PhD<\/strong>, psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, along with other notable figures keen to bring about change.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"\" rel=\"\">N&#8217;Joy<\/a> will run its <a target=\"\" rel=\"\">T&#8217;es Cap le Handicap<\/a> workshop, one of its flagship events that <strong>helps to educate children through a series of \u2018play and learn\u2019 workshops<\/strong>, and the group <a target=\"\" rel=\"\">We Are World Citizens<\/a> will conclude the afternoon\u2019s programme before the prize-giving begins.
