On 13 October 2016, \u00cfDKIDS held an open day at its head office to coincide with the World Forum in Lille.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That day the group’s employees put on their We Act For Kids ambassador hats.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/strong>The World Forum is an opportunity for companies to suggest and discuss concrete, reproducible solutions to promote and develop a responsible economy.<\/p>\n

As its longstanding partner, \u00cfDKIDS wanted to capitalize on the Forum’s ten-year anniversary to celebrate its own 20 years of civic engagement.<\/strong> Forty employees with day-to-day involvement in various flagship projects led six workshops for 90 visitors and 150 employees at the group’s headquarters to share their beliefs and talk about the We Act For Kids ethos.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Leading by example and speaking from experience were the order of the day.<\/strong> Who better to explain how recycled polyester down jackets are made than the Oka\u00efdi girlswear product team? And who could be better placed than the community manager and founder of Bubble Mag to talk about positive parenting? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Among the highlights\u00a0<\/strong>were a whirlwind guided tour of the company and workshops, including an overview of the \u00cfDKIDS foundation, positive parenting activities with the Rigolo Comme La Vie cr\u00e8che network and Bubble magazine, a presentation of \u00cfDTROC (free second-hand clothing service to promote the circular economy) and information on how in-service training works.<\/p>\n

The event was a resounding success<\/strong> among employees and visitors alike. And for good reason: every participant talked about the role they play with genuine feeling. The key to sustaining this success is to unite everyone behind We Act For Kids and take it forward for another 20 years!<\/strong> Watch a video of the event<\/strong><\/p>\n
