{"id":4601,"date":"2018-09-14T16:32:58","date_gmt":"2018-09-14T14:32:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/corporate-idkids-com.azurewebsites.net\/?p=4601"},"modified":"2018-12-06T17:13:24","modified_gmt":"2018-12-06T16:13:24","slug":"fifty-jacadi-employees-take-part-in-a-solidarity-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/en\/fifty-jacadi-employees-take-part-in-a-solidarity-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacadi employees take part in a solidarity day"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>On 14 June 2017, 50 Jacadi employees volunteered to help out at charities connected to the \u00cfDKIDS foundation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Once a year the \u00cfDKIDS community gives every employee the opportunity to take a day off to volunteer at a charity so they can actively help children for themselves.<\/strong> This volunteer experience is part of We Act For Kids and has so far helped more than 500 children in different ways.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/marque\/jacadi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jacadi<\/a> employees with nine different skill sets could choose to work in one of the following areas:<\/strong> education &amp; culture, children&#8217;s safety and inclusion, early childhood &amp; parenting, sustainable development or product recycling.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Depending on their choice the foundation sent them to one of four different charities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fifteen employees took part in a customization workshop with children from France Parrainage. Accompanied by their mum, dad or guardian, sponsored children from the Greater Paris area gave free rein to their creativity by customizing items from Jacadi&#8217;s collection and presenting them at a fashion show followed by an afternoon tea. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france-parrainages.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">France Parrainage<\/a> is an accredited charity that works to help children in France and overseas grow up in the best possible conditions. Every year it supports more than 13,000 children from France and 16 developing countries.<\/li>\n<li>Sports sessions and a football match for children aged 9 to 16 were organized by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sportdanslaville.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sport dans la Ville<\/a>, a charity that promotes social and professional integration through sport. It has around 6,000 young people registered with it and plays an active role in their personal development. The dynamic day was topped off by a well-earned afternoon tea.<\/li>\n<li>Five thousand bibs were prepared for the Against Hunger Race at La D\u00e9fense in Paris organized by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.actioncontrelafaim.org\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Action Contre la Faim<\/a>, an NGO that works to eradicate world hunger in a comprehensive, sustainable and effective way. The event featured 107 companies and raised 800,875 euros.<\/li>\n<li>Restoration of a vegetable garden (weeding and gardening) in the centre of Cergy with <a href=\"http:\/\/le-maillon-cergy.org\/php\/page_home.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Le Maillon de Cergy<\/a>. Offering a welcoming, inclusive space based on mutual support and solidarity, the nonprofit runs a community grocery shop and gives (mostly food) aid to people in financial difficulty, vulnerable situations and\/or on the fringes of society.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What our employees thought of the day:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>\u201cA day filled with energy, positive interaction and laughter!\u201d<\/h5>\n<h5>\u201cThe group\u2019s values of respect and sharing take on a whole new meaning.\u201d<\/h5>\n<h5>\u201cWhen\u2019s the next one?\u201d<\/h5>\n<h5>\u201cIt was very rewarding to see the children so motivated and inspired by the values of sport.
