{"id":4460,"date":"2018-09-14T16:34:33","date_gmt":"2018-09-14T14:34:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/corporate-idkids-com.azurewebsites.net\/?p=4460"},"modified":"2018-11-15T11:25:02","modified_gmt":"2018-11-15T10:25:02","slug":"solidarity-day-for-430-okaidi-employees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/en\/solidarity-day-for-430-okaidi-employees\/","title":{"rendered":"Solidarity day for 430 Oka\u00efdi employees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Staff from Oka\u00efdi France rallied to support children&#8217;s charities at a social and environmental responsibility day.<\/strong> <strong>From 29 May to 2 June, all OKAIDI store managers and their superiors (including area managers) offered to work as volunteers in the field.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once a year, the \u00cfDKIDS community gives every employee the opportunity to spend a day volunteering for a charity. For sustainable development week, 23 Oka\u00efdi France managers and their teams gave their time to charities all over France. At charities and hospitals, on beaches and in forests, they all pulled together to support children and help protect the environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Each group chose the field it would like to be involved in <\/strong>and the <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/fondation\/foundation-mission\/\">\u00cfDKIDS foundation<\/a> put them in touch with the relevant charities. <strong>There were a wide variety of interests<\/strong>, including education &amp; culture, child safety &amp; inclusion, early childhood &amp; parenting, sustainable development and product recycling. <strong>Some examples of the work done in the field:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Special events (Olympiads, face painting workshop and afternoon tea) for 39 asylum-seeking children organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emmaus-solidarite.org\/le-mouvement-emmaus\/\">Mouvement Emma\u00fcs<\/a> which fights against exclusion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-992\" src=\"https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Visuels-Journee-solidaire-Okaidi-Emmaus-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Visuels-Journee-solidaire-Okaidi-Emmaus-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Visuels-Journee-solidaire-Okaidi-Emmaus-305x229.jpg 305w, https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Visuels-Journee-solidaire-Okaidi-Emmaus-32x24.jpg 32w, https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Visuels-Journee-solidaire-Okaidi-Emmaus-107x80.jpg 107w, https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Visuels-Journee-solidaire-Okaidi-Emmaus-268x200.jpg 268w, https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Visuels-Journee-solidaire-Okaidi-Emmaus.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/> <strong>Marion, a manager from Auvergne<\/strong>: \u201cI enjoyed learning about the charity and helping out with the children\u2019s fun and games, all topped off with a great afternoon tea. We all did it together.\u201d <strong>Emilie<\/strong>: \u201cA fantastic day working as a team. The sun was in the sky and in our hearts. A good, solid team-building experience.\u201d <strong>Patrick<\/strong>: \u201cLife&#8217;s rich tapestry makes it worth living.\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Restoring a community garden with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.secours-catholique.org\/\">Secours Catholique<\/a> which fights against poverty, inequality and exclusion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Activities on Saint Malo beach (making a giant marble run) for children with emotional and behavioural disorders.
