Following the terrible explosions of August 4 in Beirut, the Oka\u00efdi, Jacadi, Oxybul teams and the \u00cfDKIDS Endowment Fund swung into action to send clothes and games to Lebanese children affected by the disaster.
C\u00e9cile Delivre, head of the Fond’actions \u00cfDKIDS Community, gives us some details<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very quickly, we made the choice to favor local associations with which we are linked both through one of our employees on site and through our franchise partners Jacadi and Oka\u00efdi; the objective being to be as close as possible to the needs of the victims on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These local associations, serving the most vulnerable families, were contacted to receive pallets of clothing and games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beirut Governmental University Hospital and its association Assameh Birth and Beyond<\/a> will receive around 30 boxes of clothing and 15 boxes of games.
Najla, an Oka\u00efdi employee present in Lebanon to see her family, connected the association and the brand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat good news! These pallets will be able to help at least a hundred families\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Carine, Jacadi partner in Lebanon, is in touch with 2 local associations: AFEL<\/a> which supports children’s rights in the world and in Lebanon and the French Catholic World Works in Asia and Africa<\/a> (OMCFAA).
100% mobilized, she helped us organize and receive the 18 planned pallets, with the OMCFAA association which agreed to centralize the donations of all the associations for greater simplicity.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sending 18 pallets, or around 12,000 clothes and shoes and 800 games, in less than a week is no small task, but the feedback from the teams on site is priceless:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the mobilization of the \u00cfDKIDS teams (retail partners, transport, customs, Fond’actions, products in particular with the VHR and our warehouse partner Ensovo), the container was able to leave this Monday, August 17 in the direction of Marseille and the boat chartered free of charge by the maritime carrier CMA CGM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
