{"id":11439,"date":"2020-05-06T17:56:41","date_gmt":"2020-05-06T15:56:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/corporate-idkids-com.azurewebsites.net\/backstage-et-si-pendant-cette-periode-dactivite-partielle-on-continuait-de-developper-les-competences-des-collaborateurs\/"},"modified":"2020-05-07T18:37:11","modified_gmt":"2020-05-07T16:37:11","slug":"backstage-why-not-take-advantage-of-shorter-working-hours-for-skills-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/corporate.idkids.com\/en\/backstage-why-not-take-advantage-of-shorter-working-hours-for-skills-development\/","title":{"rendered":"BACKSTAGE: Why not take advantage of shorter working hours for skills development?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><strong>Given the current health crisis, the French government has offered to fund training for employee skills development.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>\u00cfDKIDS is taking advantage of the opportunity!<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of <strong>180 employees<\/strong> from the \u00cfDKIDS head office will be taking a fully digital training course in May.<br>Each employee could choose from a list of six courses to address:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>individual <strong>skills improvement<\/strong> needs<br>and<\/li><li>company needs for support for its <strong>economic recovery and transformation<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The courses are focused on project management, leading change, digital technology in in-store customer relations, design thinking and staff development (self-confidence and assertiveness).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All of these courses are fully digital and alternate between:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>self-paced learning (employees could connect anytime during their working hours), and<\/li><li>group lessons (virtual classes with participants connected at the same time)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>They are <strong>set up as intra-company classes<\/strong> (only employees from the group, so shared topics can be discussed) and <strong>supported by an instructor<\/strong> from a training organisation (who challenges trainees, answers questions and corrects exercises).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The training team got everything ready in record time to find a training organisation,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>let employees choose a course and submit the funding request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Employees were also lightening quick to show their interest in completing these training courses, particularly during a videoconference held to discuss the training options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a unique situation that offers an incredible opportunity: many employees can receive training during a short period of time when everyone\u2019s usual duties are limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Well done to everyone who was involved and a special thanks to the training team for setting it all up!<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Given the current health crisis, the French government has offered to fund training for employee skills development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":16,"featured_media":11341,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[167,1021],"tags":[1304,203],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.8 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>BACKSTAGE: Why not take advantage of shorter working hours for skills development?
