Claire and Laure, from the Oxybul retail teams, talk about how the brand answered the call from Carole, a ICU nurse at the Timone Hospital in Marseille.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claire: \u201cCarole reached out to Oxybul because the hospital needed toys for the ICU waiting room, which is seeing many patients right now because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is where children ages three and up come to visit \u2013 sometime for the last time \u2013 hospitalised family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A solidarity chain was quickly formed. <\/strong>\u201cAnne and Sabrina, at headquarters, made a list of recommended toys that corresponded to the needs of these children: imitation games, books, supplies so they can express their emotions… The aim was to help the department\u2019s nurses entertain the children and create a connection at an often difficult time.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claire, the Store Manager of the Oxybul store in Marseille,<\/strong> arranged to go to her store (making sure to follow all safety precautions) to give the toys to the nurse, who was able to take them immediately to the children. \u201cTogether, we also went through everything to identify what was easiest to clean \u2013 essential right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was really touched by the initiative,\u201d says Claire. \u201cFor me, it was an easy decision. After meeting and talking to Carole, who is really in the middle of it all, made me think. These are the people we\u2019re clapping for every night at 8pm! I talked to my team: we said we would stay in contact with Carole to continue supporting her department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was really nice, too, was that my entire management team was very supportive to make sure I could do everything safely, that I could sort out childcare for my kids. That means a lot to me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor us,\u201d says Laure, Roussillon Regional Director<\/strong>, \u201cit was important to support children\u2019s well-being in this especially difficult situation. And we also did it to show our support for the nurses.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
