I\u2019m reaching out to you because we have a problem I\u2019d like to tell you about.<br>Some of the mothers we admit are Covid positive and in need of an urgent Caesarean. These mothers are in ICU in serious condition. Our department is taking care of these premature babies who are isolated from their mothers as well as their families (who were also in contact with the Covid-positive mother).<br>Unfortunately, because the mothers aren\u2019t there and the fathers are not allowed to enter the department, these children have nothing: no bodysuits, pyjamas, sleep bags, or blankets.<br>Because these newborns are considered as \u201cpossible Covid cases\u201d, we cannot, for hygiene reasons, use the few items of clothing we have on hand.<br>I\u2019m contacting you to see if you would be willing to offer a helping hand for these babies.<br>Is there any way you could donate bodysuits, pyjamas and other old collections (preemie, newborn and one-month sizes) to these children who are alone and wearing only a diaper in an incubator?<br>The entire team would like to thank you in advance for considering our request.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>D\u00e9borah and the digital team were touched by this request, and set out to respond as quickly as possible. A whole chain was formed:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The product teams identified the items,<\/li><li>The supply team found the stock in a nearby store,<\/li><li>And Arnaud (Regional Manager) and Devy (Store Manager) picked up and delivered the items directly to the hospital the next day.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Delphine Malka (Digital Customer Experience and Social Media Manager), Delphine Audibert (Jacadi Digital Director) and Val\u00e9rie Capitan (Jacadi Brand Director) tell us more about how they all got involved.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;The smallest things can make a much bigger difference than you think \u2013 what they do is really essential.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delphine Malka<\/strong><br>\u201cIt was hard not to be touched by the message from this nurse. Alone, I couldn\u2019t do anything. I was only the first link in the chain, and we all felt the urgency of the situation.<br>I learned about Necker a few years ago, and I know that the smallest things can make a much bigger difference than you think \u2013 what they do is really essential. And that\u2019s how I felt when I received the picture from the neonatal team. I\u2019m so proud of everyone\u2019s efforts.\u00a0 We hope these four families can all be back together very soon.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delphine Audibert\u00a0<\/strong><br>\u201cPersonally, when I read the nurse\u2019s message, it made me tear up&#8230; so many difficulties and sadness in what should be the best day in these parents\u2019 lives!<br>And I\u2019m very relieved we were able to react so quickly, and to know that this small action can provide comfort and joy to these babies, their parents and the healthcare teams as well. It made me cry again, but with emotion and joy this time.<br>It was a very concrete action that brought home our commitment: #WeActForKids.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;You\u2019re putting what\u2019s most important to you in the world in the nurses\u2019 hands&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Val\u00e9rie Capitan<\/strong><br>\u201cI\u2019ve had three kids, and each time I was separated from them. You\u2019re putting what\u2019s most important to you in the world in the nurses\u2019 hands, but I also saw the extraordinary care they gave to these newborn babies, so I was never worried.
