The ÏDKIDS brands are committed to promoting environmentally-friendly activities and habits to benefit future generations. This also applies to our supply chain.
We are committed to working with partners who share our values and willingness to act to reduce our impact on the environment. With this in mind, the transport company Brelet became an Oxybul partner in October 2017. It transports products from the warehouse in Dourges in the Hauts-de-France region to a distributor in Greater Paris who in turn delivers them to the 19 Oxybul and ÏDKIDS stores in the area.
Oxybul decided to work with Brelet to make Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) the fuel of choice. LNG is the cleanest of all the fossil fuels. It is an excellent alternative to diesel to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help prevent global warming. In fact, this gas reduces particle emissions by 90% and climate-damaging nitrous oxide by 70%. It is also the quietest solution.
Since the middle of February 2018 Oxybul has been using a “gas tractor” (a motorised vehicle that tows a trailer) on the Dourges-Paris route (one lorry per day). This initiative will save 50 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being emitted each year.
The move towards modern and more environmentally-friendly transport methods is further proof of our brands’ commitment.
