On 23 January Jeanne de Flandres Hospital in Lille organized a party afternoon to coincide with its carnival!
Tout le Monde Contre le Cancer is a charity established 12 years ago to support children and families affected by cancer. Every year it carries out one thousand activities in 140 different hospitals. It has three main objectives:
- Bring joy to hospitals through themed events like the carnival party.
- Foster the wellbeing of patients and their loved ones with initiatives such as Echappée Rose, the first mobile “day spa” bringing relaxation and renewal to women in hospital.
- Offer an escape from the hospital environment with projects such as Les Séjours de Ressourcement whereby a château opens its doors for a month to provide respite to sick children and their families.
To ensure the success of the carnival celebrations at Jeanne de Flandres Hospital, Oxybul donated fancy dress outfits for the children, including princess, musketeer and Robin Hood costumes.The perfect chance for everyone to express their personality and set their imagination free! This special event included a Disney prince- and princess-themed musical and an appearance by Miss France. Nine children and their families attended, and those who couldn’t take part were visited in their room. The fun afternoon was enjoyed by children of all ages.
Julie, an events manager at the charity, made this heart-warming comment: “The afternoon tea went really well and the children loved their costumes. Thank you again for spoiling them!”
