ÏDKIDS staff do their bit for disadvantaged children in Roubaix

What happened after Oxybul partnered with the Le Père Noël est-il un Rocker ? community festival? It was Crazy Distribution time!

For the past three years Oxybul has partnered with Le Père Noël est-il un Rocker ? which is also supported by the ÏDKIDS foundation. This annual music festival has been running for 23 years and is organized by EDHEC Business School students. It distributes Christmas presents to disadvantaged children supported by community centres in the Lille metropolitan area. Festival-goers buy a toy from the online box office which is then wrapped and distributed by volunteers.

At the end of the festival, 4,500 generous fans made it possible to distribute gifts over four half-days to 1,500 delighted children. A unique concept where Christmas spirit meets community spirit!

On 27 November ten ÏDKIDS employees from Okaïdi, Oxybul, Jacadi and Rigolo Comme La Vie organized activities for and handed out gifts to 350 children from Roubaix during an afternoon they named “Crazy Distribution”. It was held at the Henri Watremez performance hall. Highlights included a mini-show, games of skill with Oxybul toys, a sack race, a piñata and a tasty afternoon tea. It was a fantastic day filled with smiles and laughter enjoyed by young and old alike.

  • Jérémie, works and maintenance manager, Rigolo Comme La Vie:

“This was the first event in France I took part in with the foundation. For the previous two years I ran the social business in Bangladesh set up with the ÏDKIDS foundation to help women living in the slums to find work and their children to receive an education.

I wanted to get involved with the Crazy Distribution day to share in the magic of Christmas with the children. Seeing children enjoying themselves in a festive atmosphere was something I’d missed since my return from Bangladesh. I loved taking part in all the festivities. It felt like a Christmas party! I was in charge of the basketball and the children threw themselves into the game! It was a great atmosphere and a great initiative. I was glad to be part of it and would happily do it all again.”
