ÏDKIDS partners with Maker Faire Lille

Ten thousand visitors are expected at Le Tripostal in Lille for this unique innovation event!

From 9 to 11 February brands from the ÏDKIDS community will join forces with “makers” in Lille. This trade fair organized by Leroy Merlin brings together technology enthusiasts, artisans, industry professionals, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, artists, students and startups. They come to showcase their creations and share their knowledge with a public made up of families, professionals and curious amateurs. This event is an opportunity for everyone to explore and be inspired by the work of others and share ideas to bring them from conception to fruition!

ÏDKIDS was keen to participate in this event in line with its We Act For Kids ethos of putting children in the driver’s seat, developing their talents, building their confidence and sharing ideas within a responsible, sustainable community. With the aim of bringing out the maker spirit in every child (a mix of manual skills and digital know-how), the ÏDKIDS community brands Okaïdi, Oxybul and its children’s activity specialist N’Joy will offer ‘play and learn’ workshops on themes such as recycling textiles and creative building using fun materials. The children can also suggest projects to make a positive change in the world via Okaïdi’s Good World platform.

The ÏDKIDS brands are key partners in the Maker Education Day for schoolchildren held on Friday 9 February. Around 2,000 children aged 2 to 12 are expected to attend.  The youngest visitors are encouraged to give free rein to their imagination and creativity as it’s never too early to inspire children to make a difference!
